Welcome Back

Just wanted to recap my first visit back to the gym in 2009. I waited until mid Feb. to avoid all the new years resolution people... not sure it was worth the wait!

1. My first stop @ the gym *every time* is the elliptical. Well... I'm picky... I like the nice new ones:) what can I say - you ALL know it I am HIGH MAINTENANCE! So there was a old lady on a nice new one who had been on since 9:30 (it was 10:00 when I got there) and we all know you can only stay on for 1/2 hour! Well... she gets off & I think good ... she's done... I wait for 5 minutes (I didn't see where she went when she got off but she left her stuff on the elliptical) standing @ the sign up board like a freekin' idiot waiting for this lady to erase her name... well 5 minutes later she walks back into the gym & hops back on the elliptical... apparently she left to go to the BATHROOM!!!! Then hoped back on for another 1/2 hour!!!!! BITCH!!!

2. I take myself over to a CRAPPY OLD elliptical. I'm on it for maybe 10 min. when this girl hops on the one next to mine. She is apparently PSYCHOTIC because the whole time she is Talking to herself & SCREAMING WOO HOO!!!! AWKWARD!!!

3.I go to pick Landon up from the daycare area & he was left in the exersorser (jumpy thing) THE WHOLE FREEKIN TIME I WAS IN THE GYM!!!!!!!!!! He had tears (fresh ones) on his poor little face... I think the girl had JUST picked him up as I walked in the door!!! His eyes were all glazed over - the poor kid was EXHAUSTED!!! Well at least we both got our workouts!!!

I think this may make it a little difficult to return... I'll give it one more chance! I AM SUPER PISSED OFF THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hubby - always a top favorite. but w/ him being gone @ work ALL weekend he becomes even more of a favorite when he finally gets home (distance does indeed make the heart grow fonder:) - especially when you're taking care of a cranky teething baby)

My bubba boy - he is getting into EVERYTHING these days... the house is slightly baby-proofed but I think we need to do some serious proofing. He is pulling everything he can reach down/ out/ over etc. my ABSOLUTE favorite though is that he pulls over his toy bin... Mr. Independent

I'm pretty impressed w/ myself... I figured out how to get pics from the webcam up on our blog WOOT! I had tried it w/ the old computer & couldn't figure it out. So this is us @ this very moment... just hanging out - my new hair. VERY dark- i'm still not to sure about it... it's going to be an adjustment !

Annoyed... leaving this entry just as it is... a little jarbled... but I am SUPER annoyed w/ blogspot & the whole thing... so... SORRY *@#$

Oh boy...

I am still experiencing the ringing in the ears... it is definately driving me NUTS!!
Luke & I were reading somewhere (probably a baby magazine) that you aren't supposed to use q-tips to clean your ears as it impacts the wax into the ear canal instead of the desired effect ... which would be getting rid of the excess wax. I said that I clean my ears w/ q-tips daily - maybe this was the cause of the ringing in the ear... then we started to talk about ear candling. I looked it up today & on one of the sites this is what i found...

Cerumen impaction affects about 6% of the population and can cause reversible hearing loss, dizziness, and ringing in the ears. It occurs more frequently in individuals with mental retardation and in the older population. Physicians and other health care professionals are required to treat cerumen impaction.

could that be the issue? Luke & I thought it was pretty funny... hehehe... hey I am a little slow w/ the uptake sometimes:)

Colds & such

Landon got his first cold... at least that's what we self diagnosed it as. yucky SUPER runny nose... cough... crankyness... sounds like a cold right?? And now Luke just called on his way home from work & he's sick too... this should be fun. Taking care of two sick boys:) Hopefully I don't get it...

We are still getting back into the groove of internet use... still catching up on websites, emails, etc. Watched the superbowl yesterday... well luke watched while landon & i bugged him:) Got some cute pics of landon in his football shirt:) yesterday was a 3 wardrobe change day for the little man... gotta love those days. we had a baptism party to go to so he had to get dressed up for that... then football... then it was time for comfy sweats:) he is SO going to hate this when he's old enough to understand what his momma puts him through:) poor guy!
Once I get the pics. uploaded (which I should have done during nap time) I'll post them!

As promised

Holy...

It's been a while! Our computer crashed & burned about 2 weeks ago & we just got our brand new computer delivered yesterday. WOOT!!!
Let me tell you... you totally don't realize just how much you use the computer/internet until you no longer have access to it. Jeesh... it was a ROUGH 2 weeks!
So I know I owe you all some major photo sessions... but Luke decided to bring the camera to work today & proceeded to forget it there - so now you may just have to wait another 2 weeks:) SORRY!!
But we are alive... and well... Landon has tons of new tricks:)
- rolling over in his crib & crawling about when it is nap/bedtime
- army crawling all over the house & finding the very few unbaby friendly things we have laying around:) - that will be this weekends project BABY PROOFING:)
- dumping all of his toys out of the basket we keep them in... that way he can get exactly what he wants to play with
- standing while holding on to the couch... mommas leg... or other such objects (he doesn't do it for too long though)
- he's been sitting for a while now - all on his own- but he's had a lot of head contact with the floor... poor guy
- he's still his smiley ol' self though... got to LOVE the smiles... oh what a sweet baby boy he is!

This weekend...

was spent catching up on some scrapbooking. Luke played the good daddy/hubby role (which he always is) & took Landon out of the house for a couple of hours on sat. & sun. so I could get some stuff done... thanks honey!!!
unfortunately i did not get any new pics. uploaded... so there won't be any pic. posts for a bit.
Landon has been SUPER cranky lately so I feel like I'm not getting caught up/ or ahead on ANYTHING!!! Hopefully that will change soon & we can get back to normal around here.
just wanted to let you all know that we are still alive & kicking... not much more than that going on though:)

This post is a little late (as usual). We hope you all had a nice New Years & you all have a great year to come:)
We spent New Years Eve & Day in Leavenworth, WA a cute Bavarian town. We actually stayed in a TINY cabin right outside the town. It was SOOOO nice to get out of Port Angeles. We went w/ our friend Vic & the boys were supposed to go snowboarding (& I was going to ski for a 1/2 day) but there were a couple of kinks (as always w/ us). They Mt. didn't have a daycare so there went my plans.... then it was wicked windy & the lifts were closed on New Year's eve... so Luke & I went into Leavenworth & walked around while Vic drove another 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. to go to Mission Ridge. We all met back @ the cabin, went out for dinner & then played Monopoly for a few hours... in bed by 11pm:)
New Year's day was another attempt at snowboarding... they shut down the entire Mt. about 15 min. after we got there. And they opened the pass (which we needed to cross to get back home) for only about 30 min. so we made a mad rush to get out of there & luckily just made it through before they shut it down again due to avalanches... SOOO NERVE RACKING!!

It's December...

my oh my how time flies!!! I cannot believe that it is December already... Christmas is literally right around the corner!
Landon just celebrated his 6 month (non) birthday:) We wanted to do a candle & all that jazz but he had gotten his shots that day & he was a wee bit cranky:( But nun the less he is 1/2 a year old already... totally flew by. That means that the 5 months that we have left here will fly by even faster SWEET!!!!
Yesterday we went to Seattle to get a second opinion on the ears situation. Basically my hearing test was the same ... even minus the baby in the sound proof booth (which I could hear a helicopter in... I'm sure that didn't help w/ the hearing super soft noises but WHATEVER). The hearing tester lady (I'm sure there's a more technical name for it) did a few more test than I had the first time to double check the results... so I guess it's a fact that I have some SERIOUS hearing loss. Apparently it is hereditary since I've never worked in a loud construction type environment (I laugh every time ... if they only knew me... they wouldn't bother asking that silly question) So.... I will eventually need a hearing aid (possibly sooner than later), I will have to get hearing tests yearly for the rest of my life, The ringing in my ears is permanent but apparently I will begin to get used to it & forget that it's there (I'm not believing this @ the current moment), I shouldn't loose my hearing entirely (that was good news... I got a little teary even asking if I would go deaf), hmmm.... I think that about covers it. Now for the good stuff... these are oldies but I had to share...
