It's 11:11 PM, I couldn't sleep because I was thinking of your hearing issue. You can thank "HOUSE" for this. On the last episode, there was a guy who had ringing in his ears, the doctor laid him down and turned his head to the side and told him "it should be fine now, you just had a calcium deposit floating around in the inner ear". So I wanted to look it up. Don't think it's that simple either. But here you go...

I found that OTOSCLEROSIS is build up of calcium on the stapes, which is just inside the ear drum so it can't be seen.
- It occurs in mostly women around the age of 30 or sometimes before.
- It is sometimes genetic- It gets worse when women are pregnant and may not go away.
- It's tough to hear high pitch or normal conversations, you tend to hear better in noisy surroundings.
- Many people experience "tinitis" or ringing in the ears.

There is a couple options for it. Hearing aids, surgery to fix the stape. There may be side effects but only in limited patients, like 1% or something.

Not much...

We are excited to be coming home! I will be getting some packing materials this week & beginning the process of packing our most important possessions. mostly scrapbooks & photos things that are irreplaceable as the packing guys f*ed up our wedding album in the last move & i'm not taking any chances this time. fool me once...

Hard to believe that we are so close to moving back east. There was a point in time when it felt as if it would never happen & now here we are! WOW!

Landon is getting soooo close to crawling! It's so funny to watch him progress more and more each day... before long i won't be able to sit for more than a second and i am not so excited for that day:(

I'm coming home!

Well we're all coming home. BUT... Landon & I are coming home a little bit before daddy.
Our flight is booked... and we fly home May 2nd.
It's a 7 hour 2omin. flight - the shortest one we could find on southwest who is having their $99 flights (SWEET.. although w/ taxes it sooo is not $99 but whatevs).
I am HOPPING & PRAYING that the flight goes well. Landon has been very wiggly lately & I'm pretty sure it will get worse over the next 2 months.... what am i getting myself into??? But it's worth it because we will be home FOR GOOD!!! Can't wait to see all your smiling faces:) (not because we'll be there - but just because we only have happy smiley friends & family:))

Baby Blues!

Well here is the cutie himself. Landon James and those to die for baby blues. He was just playing with his toys before bedtime and decided to makes some cute faces for the camera. What a silly little boy, but you gotta love those eyes.

Landon is now brushing his teeth (well we actually do the brushing) with toothpaste! He LOVES it... we use the silly strawberry kind & he seriously thinks it's desert:) Which makes it much easier to get the toothbrush in the mouth!
On another note he is also eating TONS of new foods. This am it was boca sausage & egg yolk (he can't have whites yet) & I had to take a picture - doesn't the egg look like a lobster claw?? I DID NOT do that on purpose:)
We hope you all have a fun filled weekend. Not sure what our plans our but I think there is a little momma time in the works! I have to get some scrap booking done. My craft space looks like a bomb went off & it's been like that for over a month (thank goodness it's hidden in the corner:)) Also to be done... housework - last minute touch ups & maybe a little PACKING!!! SOOOOO EXCITING!

Whistler/Blackcomb

We had tons of fun!! I got back up on the skis... not an easy task since the last time i was on them I broke my leg. We got off the chairlift & I literally FROZE... didn't think i could possibly move never mind ski down this BIG ol' mt. I was absolutely paralyzed w/ fear. it felt like minutes of standing there but a few seconds later we were off! i only got one run in from the tippy top of the mt. down - took me 1 hour since i was being SUPER cautious!! & slow. poor luke stuck it out w/ me:) we only had about 5 hours since landon was w/ a babysitter (who came to our condo - so cool) and i had to feed him - didn't bring the pump (that wasn't too smart of me). we even had a nice little lunch date just luke & i! it was good to see davin & he got along great w/ Landon:)
Landon mastered a few new tricks... waving hi & clapping:) too cute! also he had a lot of "real people" food!!! and loved every bite!! He was a great traveler - the 8 hour ride in the car was a bit of a challenge for him but some how we all managed! wish we could have stayed longer & i could have gotten a little more skiing in but I was also REALLY glad to be back home yesterday! all in all ... REALLY good trip!

OMG...

I don't know how this could have happened, I totally forgot to inform all of you in the blog world that we FINALLY got our orders!!! I guess in the pure & utter excitement/joy I got a little overwhelmed & spaced out a little.
WE GOT OUR ORDERS!!! AND WE WILL BE MOVING BACK TO THE EAST COAST!!!! AND WE WILL BE STATIONED AT OUR FIRST PICK THIS TIME!!!! AND THAT IS.... MERRIMACK RIVER!!!! About 2 hours from RI! Needless to say we are BEYOND excited:) Landon & Angie are excited too... they just don't know it yet:)

Sick

again. We are ALL sick this time:( I think I got this cold first (I'm blaming it on the gym... seems fitting since my first week back was not ideal) then I passed it on to the babe & then we were hoping & praying that daddy didn't get it since we are going on a little ol' vacation next week... then daddy got it:(
It only seems to be really horribly bad for about 4 days so he should be better by this thursday - when we head off to pick up UNCLE DAVIN!!! and head up to WHISTLER!!! SWEET!!! Can't wait. I haven't skied since I broke my leg but I'm hoping to get back on the sticks @ least for one day:)

Welcome Back

Just wanted to recap my first visit back to the gym in 2009. I waited until mid Feb. to avoid all the new years resolution people... not sure it was worth the wait!

1. My first stop @ the gym *every time* is the elliptical. Well... I'm picky... I like the nice new ones:) what can I say - you ALL know it I am HIGH MAINTENANCE! So there was a old lady on a nice new one who had been on since 9:30 (it was 10:00 when I got there) and we all know you can only stay on for 1/2 hour! Well... she gets off & I think good ... she's done... I wait for 5 minutes (I didn't see where she went when she got off but she left her stuff on the elliptical) standing @ the sign up board like a freekin' idiot waiting for this lady to erase her name... well 5 minutes later she walks back into the gym & hops back on the elliptical... apparently she left to go to the BATHROOM!!!! Then hoped back on for another 1/2 hour!!!!! BITCH!!!

2. I take myself over to a CRAPPY OLD elliptical. I'm on it for maybe 10 min. when this girl hops on the one next to mine. She is apparently PSYCHOTIC because the whole time she is Talking to herself & SCREAMING WOO HOO!!!! AWKWARD!!!

3.I go to pick Landon up from the daycare area & he was left in the exersorser (jumpy thing) THE WHOLE FREEKIN TIME I WAS IN THE GYM!!!!!!!!!! He had tears (fresh ones) on his poor little face... I think the girl had JUST picked him up as I walked in the door!!! His eyes were all glazed over - the poor kid was EXHAUSTED!!! Well at least we both got our workouts!!!

I think this may make it a little difficult to return... I'll give it one more chance! I AM SUPER PISSED OFF THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty impressed w/ myself... I figured out how to get pics from the webcam up on our blog WOOT! I had tried it w/ the old computer & couldn't figure it out. So this is us @ this very moment... just hanging out - my new hair. VERY dark- i'm still not to sure about it... it's going to be an adjustment !

Oh boy...

I am still experiencing the ringing in the ears... it is definately driving me NUTS!!
Luke & I were reading somewhere (probably a baby magazine) that you aren't supposed to use q-tips to clean your ears as it impacts the wax into the ear canal instead of the desired effect ... which would be getting rid of the excess wax. I said that I clean my ears w/ q-tips daily - maybe this was the cause of the ringing in the ear... then we started to talk about ear candling. I looked it up today & on one of the sites this is what i found...

Cerumen impaction affects about 6% of the population and can cause reversible hearing loss, dizziness, and ringing in the ears. It occurs more frequently in individuals with mental retardation and in the older population. Physicians and other health care professionals are required to treat cerumen impaction.

could that be the issue? Luke & I thought it was pretty funny... hehehe... hey I am a little slow w/ the uptake sometimes:)

Colds & such

Landon got his first cold... at least that's what we self diagnosed it as. yucky SUPER runny nose... cough... crankyness... sounds like a cold right?? And now Luke just called on his way home from work & he's sick too... this should be fun. Taking care of two sick boys:) Hopefully I don't get it...

We are still getting back into the groove of internet use... still catching up on websites, emails, etc. Watched the superbowl yesterday... well luke watched while landon & i bugged him:) Got some cute pics of landon in his football shirt:) yesterday was a 3 wardrobe change day for the little man... gotta love those days. we had a baptism party to go to so he had to get dressed up for that... then football... then it was time for comfy sweats:) he is SO going to hate this when he's old enough to understand what his momma puts him through:) poor guy!
Once I get the pics. uploaded (which I should have done during nap time) I'll post them!
